 Parenting

Parenting is possibly one of the most difficult jobs ever. Not only is it constant and life-long, but also it continually presents new challenges.

Some people believe that parenting is an instinctive process, and that therefore people don’t need to seek assistance. This belief is likely to either indicate that their children are extremely placid and easy-going, or that parenting isn’t high on their list of priorities.

All parents need a bit of extra assistance at times. Children don’t develop according to any rule-book. As parents of more than one child know, even children with the same parents and reared in the same way develop very differently and interact with the world in their own way. Children come into the world with their own personality, and develop at their own pace, in their own idiosyncratic way. This can mean that the parenting style that worked well with one child might be totally wrong for another!

It’s impossible to answer all possible questions about parenting on a website, but attached to this page you’ll find several articles that you might find useful. If you want information about a specific topic, email me.
